One of the largest contractors to Imperial Starfleet, Keeler Aerospace builds Venture Class and other classes of starships. For every Starfleet vessel they produce at their Mars orbiting Dystopia Planitia shipyards, they build another five civilian vessels elsewhere.
History
Incorporated in the late 1990's, Keeler Aerospace was in the business of creating air and space craft. They built many of the satellites and weapons arrays placed in Earth orbit during the 21st century, and they are responsible for the most popular styles and types of atmospheric fighters that were used on Earth in the 2160s.
Once spaceflight again became an interest to the Empire after first contact with the Vulcans, Keeler Aerospace was given the contracts to begin constructing the Empire's early space fleets. This began a long relationship with the Empire, and Keeler Aerospace has been building for the Empire and Starfleet now for more than 130 years. It is worth noting that startup ship building corporations that could be future competition to Keeler Aerospace often find themselves at the mercy of naturally-occuring disasters or technological mishaps that forever smear the reputation of the smaller company. Ultimately, everyone goes to Keeler.
Ship Rental Service
Keeler Aerospace offers rental ships from their Colony Two location on Mars as well as in Monyab on Denobula. These rentals are typically for a one-week period, and the company has a reputation for quickly dispatching a collection unit for those who may forget to return the vessel by the end of their rental term.
Most vessels in the rental fleet are Hopper Class ships, though the company began production of a newer model, the Voyager Class in early 2198. A press release made by the company in October 2199 announced that the Voyager Class ships will be entering service before the end of the year, eventually phasing out the Hopper Class vessels over the next several years.
In a new press release June 2200, the Keeler Aerospace company was forced to announce the release of their new Hauler I class models when the schematics were stolen and released prematurely.
