The Imperial Starfleet, commonly referred to as the ISF or simply Starfleet, is the military arm of the Terran Empire. It is primarily through Starfleet that the Terran Empire conquers worlds and enforces its rule over these worlds. ISF Headquarters is in Beijing, Earth. Sector command posts are located throughout imperial space, and imperial starships patrol well beyond the claimed space of the empire.

Divisions

Starfleet is organized into three major divisions: command, sciences, and operations.

Command Division

The command division consists of officers who specialize in command and control of starships and starbases. This includes Commanding Officers and Executive Officers of starships and starbases, as well as officers who serve as helm or navigation officers, and pilots. Members of the command division typically wear gold colored uniforms.

Sciences Division

The sciences division is primarily involved with scientific research and its applications. ISF Medical is a subdivision of the sciences division. Other subdivisions of the sciences division specialize in genetics, xenobiology, and astrophysics, just to name a few. Members of the sciences division typically wear blue colored uniforms.

Operations Division

The operations division handles the technical and tactical logistics of running a starship or starbase. This division includes engineers, security officers, tacticians, and communications officers. Members of the operations division typically wear red colored uniforms.

Ranks

The table below lists the rank structure within the Imperial Starfleet. An officer's rank is denoted by insignia stripes worn on the sleeves of her uniform.
